  1. Spread the butter over baking dish. Add French bread in the dish and keep it aside.
  2. Prepare the custard: Add salt, cinnamon, vanilla extract, brown sugar,eggs, and milk to a bowl and whisk to combine.
  3. Pour the custard over bead. Cover with foil. Allow it to chill overnight in the fridge.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Bake for 40 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil and add the pecans. Return to the oven and bake for 15 to 25 minutes.
  6. Serve!
