The Alaskan Roll is a fresh and flavorful sushi roll featuring salmon, avocado, and cucumber, wrapped in sushi rice and nori.   1. Prepare the Rice: Cook sushi rice according to package instructions and season with rice vinegar. Let cool to room temperature.
  2. Assemble the Roll:
  3. Place a nori sheet on a sushi mat, rough side up.
  4. Spread a thin, even layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving ½ inch at the top for sealing.
  5. Lay salmon, avocado, and cucumber in the center of the rice.
  6. Roll the Sushi:
  7. Using the sushi mat, gently roll the nori over the filling, applying light pressure.
  8. Seal the roll with a bit of water along the edge.
  9. Slice & Serve:
  10. Use a sharp knife to cut the roll into 8 even pieces.
  11. Sprinkle with sesame seeds or top with additional salmon if desired.
  12. Garnish & Enjoy: Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, pickled ginger, and spicy mayo for dipping.
