Made over an open flame using a cast iron skillet or grill grate, this rustic pizza features a golden crust, gooey melted cheese, and your favorite toppings — from pepperoni and veggies to a simple Margherita. It’s an easy, customizable, and crowd-pleasing meal that turns any campfire into a pizzeria.

  1. Prepare the pizza dough according to the package directions
  2. Preheat a grill or campfire to medium-high heat.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until it is about 1/4-inch thick.
  4. Brush the top of the pizza dough with olive oil.
  5. Place the pizza dough directly on the grill or over the campfire.
  6. Cook the pizza dough for 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip it over and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side, until it is lightly browned and crispy.
  7. Remove the pizza dough from the heat and spread pizza sauce over the top.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pizza sauce.
  9. Top with toppings.
  10. Return the pizza to the grill or campfire and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  11. When done, remove the pizza from the heat.
